 Drabiv, Ukraine
First Baptist embarked on a church planting mission in Drabiv, Ukraine in 1997. Since that time over 80 people from the church have made the trip. We have seen the softening of hearts towards us Americans and a gradual acceptance of the gospel of Jesus Christ. After about 5 years of children's camps in the local Cultural Center the Lord led a wonderful Ukranian man and his family to us to be the pastor of a new Baptist church. In January of 2007 we were able to help this new body of believers purchase a very nice building just a block from downtown and across from the city park. The 2007 Team was able to use this new facility for all of it's meetings and helped dedicate the church during a Sunday service. We love the people of Drabiv dearly.
